(M)SDS Authoring and Labels
(M)SDSs must meet many conditions:
- Comply with the proper country regulations, classifications and formats;
- Be authored in the official language(s) of the country they are shipped to, e.g.: German in Germany; Japanese in Japan; Dutch and French in Belgium; English and French in Canada; etc.
Workplace and consumer labels must also meet these two conditions.

- USA : 29 CFR1910.1200 + State regulations and lists (ex: California prop. 65; New Jersey Right-to-Know; etc.). Format: (ANSI) Z400.1
- Canada : CPR - WHMIS
- Mexico : NOM-018-STPS-2000
- Brazil : NBR 14725
- Multijurisdictional MSDSs - possible combination of two or more of these regulations on a single document - American National Standard Institute (ANSI) Z400.1 format

- Australia [ NOHSC:2011(2003) ]
- China – GB 16483-2000; Malaysia; Singapore; Taiwan; etc.
GHS where applicable: New-Zealand, Japan, Korea, Thailand
